One thing I’ve learned working with so many couples is that no love story is like any other. Some are loud, wild, and full of adventure, while others are peaceful, quiet, and gentle. Keelie and Keefer’s love is the latter, which is why they chose a private, romantic and emotional Mt. Rainier elopement to tie the knot.

A Private Escape into the Wildness of Mt. Rainier National Park
Eloping on a Wednesday in May meant they had the space (and quiet) to focus completely on this moment. They preferred getting lost in each others’ eyes rather than adventuring on a trail, so we chose a easily accessible spot to admire the views. Even though the mountain itself played hide and seek behind the clouds, Keelie and Keefer were more focused on each other rather than space around them.

Heartfelt Vows at Sunset
As the sun started to dip lower in the sky, they took each others’ hands and exchanged their personally-written vows. The perfect mixture of tears and laughter made up their reactions, and I could tell just how much this moment meant to them. They shared their first kiss, and basked in the glow of their love that appeared to make the world go still.

Slow Dancing Below the Pines of Mt. Rainier National Park
After their vows, we headed back to their A-frame cabin in Packwood (one of the entrances to Mt. Rainier National Park), where they shared their first dance to some of their favorite music. They held lanterns and explored along the river that bordered their AirBnb.

A-Frame Cabin Campfire Cuddles in Packwood
As the sky got darker and the air got cooler (May in Mt. Rainier National Park can still be pretty cold), they cuddled up close by a fire and reflected on their day – relaxed, private and romantic – just how they dreamed this moment would be.
